1 min read
In case you guys don't know, I'm leaving on a mission in about a week, so you aren't gonna see anything on here for about 2 years probably.

If any of you want to keep in touch, send me a note with your email, and I'll include you with my list.

Thanks a ton and I hope all of you have a wonderful 2 years =).

Best of Wishes,

Gotten from a tag by :iconwyvernsblade:

By the way, for anybody who doesn't know, an OC is an Original Character... in other words, a fiction character from a story of yours (or art piece, or anything really).  Now you know (or you already did).

RULES:
1. You must choose only ONE of your OCs. Do it again if you wanna use another OC.
2. Your OC must answer every question as truthfully as possible.
3. Title the journal as "OCs Quiz" [I named mine a bit differently though =p]
4. When you're done, tag as many people as you want.
5. Have fun!!!

1. Hi! What's your real name and nickname?
Verona Prince.  But you can just call me Verona.

2. Interesting... what's your current age?
I'm just over 70.  But you wouldn't know that unless you saw me in person.

3. Uh huh. What's your favorite food?
Oh... that's a hard one... hmmm.  I think I'm going to have to go with Macaroni for this one... no, not the packaged variety... I mean the nice homemade stuff.  It's just too good.

4. And your favorite drink?
I prefer water, most of the time.  Though, for a treat, a Chocolate Shake is great.

5. Your crush/lover?
I don't have one currently... I did when I was younger though.

6. Aww! Have you two kissed yet?
I'd be married if that had happened.  Of course, it didn't... I'm single.  One of the few regrets in my life, to be honest.

7. Classic question! What's your favorite color?
White and Red.  Though anything that looks modestly stylish is fine.

8. Who's your favorite author?
Oh... that's a hard one.  If I'm feeling serious, Warren T Hadrens History of Space Exploration is a good read, but besides that, any good fiction book will do.

9. Now what's your biggest fear?
Spiders.  The only thing is, I haven't been around spiders in years... you did know they don't have them up here in the colony, didn't you?  In any case, I suppose these days I might not be quite as nervous around them as I was in my youth.  But who knows, maybe it'd only be worse.  I'll have to see someday.

10. Any siblings?
Two brothers.  My youngest brother is Paris, and he's the heart of the party.  He loves making jokes and doing all sorts of witty things to tease people.  Still, he's a good soul, and he'll do a lot to cheer a person up.  And then there's Escalus... if you've met him, you probably think he's made of stone.  Believe it or not though, deep down inside he's a kind person.  He just doesn't let it show on the outside.  In any case, both of my brothers are younger than I am.  So I can twist their arms a tiny bit at times.

11. Almost, it's only twenty questions. Who's your hero?
That's a toughy... I think my friend Brandon... no... I don't know him anymore, I lost touch with him unfortunately when I left for space.  We spent our teenage years together.  He had a great personality, cheerful, and yet, realistic.  He was just confident enough to get things done, but at the same time, not arrogant.  I've always tried to emulate his qualities, and yet, I don't think I've been able to duplicate them yet.  I'm... well... not very perfect.  But you already knew that.

12. Ok, who is your worst enemy?
I don't have 'worst enemies'... I do have 'enemies', but they are more 'enemies' in the political sense, not the 'I don't like you' sense of the word.  I have to maneuver around them quite a bit to get what needs to get done, done, and yet, it's all worth it.  And in a way, it's satisfying too, despite being tough at times.  As for dislike of people... I can get a bit vexed at times (though it's rare), but I don't think that ever translates into true hate.  It's more like... annoyance, of sorts.  Then again, that doesn't happen too often (or so I hope).

13. What would you do if your hero and your worst enemy got together?
Well, that can't really happen, considering I have a worst enemy, but I suppose if my hero became my worst enemy, I'd just deal with it, remembering him for who he was, and treating the new him as a different person from what he was in the past.  There isn't much else you can do in terms of political expediency... you just have to move on with life as usual.

14. Interesting... what would you do if you met your creator?
Ask him a ton of questions.  Talk to my mom and dad, and other members of my family who have passed on.  And enjoy life!

15. Okay, I'll contact them right now. Done! Now, what do you want to be when you grow up?
I'm already grown up... but well... if I could do it again, I think I'd like to do more gardening.  Being old makes it more difficult... getting on your knees and all.

16. What's your worst nightmare?
Surprisingly, not spiders.  It's actually me thinking about being locked in a guideless capsule that's been ejected out to space.  It'd be a rather horrible way to die... suffocating like that.  Gives me the shivers just thinking about it.

17. What's your lifelong dream?
To live to an old age.  To hold the peace between Earth and Space Station Verona.  And to eat more chocolate cake (it's seriously good).

18. What would you do if your lifelong dream came true?
Enjoy it.  Nothing else much really.

19. Ok, where's your favorite place to relax?
In my room.  It's nice and quiet, and it's where I don't have to worry about all the other stuff that goes on in my life.  My life isn't that horrible though... so I really shouldn't be complaining.

20. Last question! What do you spend most of your time doing?
Talking to other people, to get things working.  People in the colony need to cooperate with each other, and then there's international politics.  It all has to go smoothly.  That's most of my job.  Still, it's not as bad as it sounds.

Hey everyone!

I'm currently doing a little fan-fiction story, but I need some people who are willing to look it over before I release it.  It's sort of a blend of sci-fi and drama, with a bit of romance mixed in (the original story comes from the romance/drama genre).  I'm not going to actually tell you what story I'm rewriting quite yet... but I still need some people to read through it before I post it, looking for things I could do better.  I will say, there is a bit of political debate and violence in it,, as well as (so far in planning, I haven't written them yet) a few very soppy love lines, so if those aren't your things, perhaps this isn't for you.  But if you don't mine, please, post a reply, I'd be glad to have you take a look at it!

Thanks a ton in advance!

Hey all!

Well, I just finished watching General Conference, and it was quite good indeed!  For those of you who don't know, General Conference is a world-wide meeting that my church has twice a year (once in October, once in April).  In it, our church leaders speak to us about certain subjects they feel impressed by the Spirit to talk about.  In just the first two hours, I'm already feeling this has been a great conference, and I'm pretty excited what will be talked about in the next 3 blocks, over today and tomorrow!

One of the new thing that was introduced today was a change in the age requirement for becoming a missionary (you know, those really nice guys with white shirts and ties who go around knocking on doors).  Basically, the Church has decided to lower the age limit for young men from 19 down to 18 (and after you've finished high school or it's equivelant), and has also decided to lower the age limit for young woman down from 21 to 19.  This seems pretty cool!  Hopefully, it'll result in more people going on missions, which we can always use! =D.

As for the speakers in the first session, I especially President Uchtdorf's talk (it isn't online right now, but when it is, I'll put a link up to it).  I oftentimes have a hard time going from thinking to doing, and so his talk was right on the spot for me... thinking of obeying the commandments is good... but doing them is by far better.  Hopefully, I'll be a bit more zealous and procrastinate a bit less on those things! =).  I need to do them!

Can't wait for President Monson's Speech at Priesthood Session and tomorrow morning too! =D.  He's always a good speaker, with the most awesome stories!  Heh... I recognize a lot of them, because I have one of his books which is full of them... they are really great!

Also, not related to general conference, but, my home-teaching partner has moved out of the ward, so I'm gonna have to figure out whom I'm going to be partnered with now.  Hopefully, it'll work out well!  I have really enjoyed home teaching, and even though I didn't do too much of it when I was younger, I have really appreciated being able to do it now!

In the main time, best of wishes to you all!
